Another Rally for our Rights event will be held this Saturday, April 21st, in Boulder, Colorado.
The event is located at Central Park, 1236 Canyon Blvd, and will run from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
The rally will be a single-issue event focused around the proposed firearms ban that is being pushed through the Boulder City Council despite strong opposition from Second Amendment supporters. This means participants are asked to leave other political matters out of the rally.
Boulder does allow open carry though, so feel free to bring a secured firearm!
The ordinance would ban the possession and sale of so-called “assault weapons”, bump stocks, and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
According to the ordinance an “assault weapon” is defined as any semi-automatic rifle with a hand grip, finger-hole stock, or stabilizer for the non-trigger hand.
With that definition this becomes a very broad ban.
At the first hearing, Second Amendment advocates greatly outnumbered gun-control advocates but apparently the Boulder City Council sees no reason to represent the people they serve, moving the ordinance forward on a unanimous vote.
The rally is an excellent opportunity to support your rights and network with fellow Second Amendment advocates and we encourage you to attend.
