Two-sided ColoradoCare panel discussion Saturday Aug. 27 10:30 AM at Tri-City Baptist Church
Hosted by Arvada state Sen. Laura Woods

DENVER—Advancing Colorado Executive Director Jonathan Lockwood will be participating in a two-sided ColoradoCare forum hosted by state Sen. Laura Woods of Arvada tomorrow, Saturday Aug. 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Tri-City Baptist Church. There will be a panel discussion on the pros and cons of Amendment 69 followed by a question and answer session for attendees.

“Sen. Laura Woods has been one of the most active legislators in holding public forums and making sure her constituents have the full picture of the proposal. We are looking forward to another productive discussion on Amendment 69,” said Lockwood. “ColoradoCare is opposed by progressive, liberal, free-market and conservative groups alike because it is a dangerous, ill-conceived idea that will fail to deliver quality, affordable and accessible health care for all.”

Fellow opponents of ColoradoCare include Linda Gorman of the Independence Institute, Tony Gagliardi of the National Federation of Independent Business, and Henry Krahn, an author and retired physician.

Also featured in the panel discussion will be ColoradoCare supporters Diane Dunn of ColoradoCareYES, Mark K. Matthews of Physicians for ColoradoCare, T.R. Reid of the Colorado Foundation for Universal Health Care and Nathan Wilkes of Health Care for All Colorado.

Advancing Colorado was the first organization in ColoradoCare to publicly oppose ColoradoCare and spearheaded the opposition force that now includes health care advocates, elected officials from both parties, conservative groups, chambers of commerce, progressive advocacy groups, pro-life groups, pro-abortion groups and more. Lockwood has debated numerous times on the ColoradoCare issue Denver Democratic state Sen. Irene Aguilar and former Black Hawk Democratic state Sen. Jeanne Nicholson and T.R Reid, and participated in forums held by legislators and grassroots groups across the state.
