***MEDIA ADVISORY*** Single-payer “ColoradoCare” Town Hall hosted by state Sen. Laura Woods Saturday, Jan. 16 at 10:30 AM

DENVER—Tomorrow, Sat. Jan. 16, state Sen. Laura Woods, R-Arvada, will be holding a town hall on ColoradoCare, Amendment 69, the single-payer 2016 ballot question proposing a $25 billion-a-year income tax hike. Advancing Colorado Executive Director Jonathan Lockwood will be featured as a panelist detailing the non-partisan free market group’s opposition to the ballot proposal. Advancing Colorado, has received recognition in national and state media, spearheaded the opposition coalition to the measure, is the leading voice against the proposal and recently ran a digital ad campaign called, “ColoradoCare is a killer.”

“My district needs to know the truth about this dangerous proposal to put unelected bureaucrats in between doctors and the constituents I represent,” said Woods. “This is an issue of our health and livelihoods, protecting our most vulnerable populations and getting the truth out there about ColoradoCare.”

“ColoradoCare is a killer tax hike that will restrict choice, constrict options and hurt the most vulnerable populations in Colorado,” said Lockwood. “The ColoradoCare proponents have lied from the beginning, manipulated the truth time and again and have even advocated against the Hippocratic Oath and for raking back the delivery of health care. Kudos to Sen. Laura Woods for her leadership on getting her constituents the truth on this egregious proposal.”
