Ding, dong! Hospital Provider Fee bill dies in Colorado Senate

DENVER—Today, the Colorado Senate killed Speaker Dickey Lee Hullinghorst and state Sen. Larry Crowder’s attempt to bypass the Colorado Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR) with their so-called “hospital provider fee bill.

Advancing Colorado Executive Director Jonathan Lockwood celebrated the death of the controversial bill:

“Colorado taxpayer’s won with the death of this controversial attempt to bypass the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights. Crowder and Hullinghorst heard loudly and clearly that Coloradans have no interest in fulfilling their special interest-backed agenda. Colorado will be better off with the death of the hospital provider tax scam and this was a huge win for the middle class and families.”
